Análisis estratégico para fortalecer al turismo de aventura en el Cantón Morona, provincia de Morona Santiago

Abstract

The present investigation project was developed in the canton of Morona of the province of Morona Santiago. Its main purpose consists in design strategies that enable the reinforcement of adventure tourism practiced in the region, that it turn contributes to the increase of the level of quality and security in this type of touristic modality. In order to fulfill the stated objetive, the principal theoretical precepts issued by experts that constituted as sources of scientific references about the characteristics of adventure tourism, with relevance that presents the canton of Morona as a tourist attraction and an adventure tourist profile, were analysed in depth. Furthermore, they were analysed and identified through an application of a poll of the main problems that the security and quality of adventure tourism present, such as a previous lack of knowledge of security measures on the part of the tourist, not having the necessary equipment and their conditions sometimes not being completely satisfactory among other shortcomings. Finally, to give an effective solution to the existing problem, various grouped actions of strategies were formed in an inclusive participation of indigenous habitants in the development of adventure tourism, the increase of the quality and risk management, improving the politics of marketing about adventure tourism and the use of income for the development of such modality.
