The solution that meets standards of quality, and the objective of generating structurally safe housing is prefabrication. During the construction phase of prefabrication, bamboo can be utilized for its mechanical properties of flexibility, regitity, hardness and earthquake resistance. The present work focuses on developing a scheme that defines the appropriate conditions to obtain and apply a prefabricated construction solution using bamboo cane, thus generating a product series with standardized and modular measurements. Prefabrication permits control over the quality of elements used at the building facilities. During construction and assembly, errors diminish almost entirely. The prefabricated housing design can be disassembled and transported in case of emergency or earthquakes. This prefabricated construction using bamboo, is also another alternative for those families who find comfort in rural settings.
