dc.description.abstractThis study discusses and analyzes the concept of the stability parameter in order to set the calculation expressions that allow the design of erodible channels. With the conceptual exposure of these processes, we have included an analysis of new mathematical relationships for the incipient motion curve and for determining the stability parameter. This paper is a contribution to the dissemination of knowledge and indicates a guide to the application of the method in the context of the course in Hydraulic. Design which is taught at the Career of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cuenca.
