This work aims to explore and understand the dynamics of artistic production, discourse and generation of stereotypes of the Hip Hop subculture in the city of Cuenca. To understand all these components of the Hip Hop culture, it is important to go into theoretical studies such as: subculture, counterculture, youth cultures, migration, hybridization, stereotypes, historical reviews, aesthetic referents among others to break social imaginaries and value their production in different languages. In the same way, it is necessary to create a reference study of how this subculture that began in the USA has been introduced to Latin America, Ecuador and Cuenca. Respectively, the object of study is done through an ethnographic field study where certain activities that are linked to music, friends, dance, leisure, graffiti codes, etc. will be evident. Likewise, a documentary video record will be developed which will show the production processes, dynamics and stereotypes of the Hip Hop subculture in the city of Cuenca.
