dc.description.abstractThe evolution of museums in developing its role as a social institution, every time it is the need for communication as a strategic tool to meet its objectives in dialogue with their audience. The diagnosis of internal communication and external of the Coordination Zone 6 of Ministerio de Cultura y Patrimonio de Museo Pumapungo, is an investigation that highlights the influence of the communication process that is handled within the institution to relate to its public. The researcher was based on the analysis of the channels of communication, information resources, human talent and communication strategies used by the institution to relate to its audiences both internally and externally; to which the methodology used was descriptive and explanatory this was based on instruments such as: interviews, desk and surveys; resulting in the need for the creation of a plan of communication, which establishes communications objectives in the short and long term as specific to the institution and to respond to the needs both for the internal public as outside the institution.
