dc.description.abstractThis monograph is situated in the field of the didactics of Mathematics. The main objective is aimed at determining the importance of the use of concrete material in the teaching-learning process of the Mathematics subject at the elementary sublevel from the bibliography. To achieve this objective, the methodology has been oriented towards a bibliographic review (books, journals, scientific articles, degree works) regarding the subject. This bibliographic review focused on identifying from which theoretical approaches the use of concrete material is studied, in the same way in knowing the types of concrete materials that are proposed to be used for the teaching-learning of Mathematics in the elementary sublevel, from the literature and to make known the importance of the use of concrete material in the learning of Mathematics in the elementary sublevel. Regarding the results, the bibliographic review showed that the use of concrete material in the teaching-learning of Mathematics allows the acquisition of new concepts that are sometimes complex for the student body, either due to their abstraction or level of complexity, therefore, by making use of concrete material that is usually related to the context of the student, it provokes curiosity in them, thus strengthening their thinking, allowing them to become responsible in the construction of their own knowledge that they could later apply in their daily lives.
