dc.description.abstractThe present study deals with the Historical-Documentary contextualization and the analysis of the function of "The Radio Schools of Ecuador: El Caso del Cantón Cañar", whose headquarters were located in the city of Riobamba, directly controlled the different radio schools of the communities at the national level. In order to carry out this study, the method of gathering and analyzing information from books, reports, magazines and web pages was used, which served as a basis for the realization of conceptual and methodological references; In addition, field visits were made to the cities of Riobamba and Cañar, where books, photographs, interviews and recordings were recorded. The ERPE based their ideology on different currents of liberating thought, which influenced Latin America, proposing to question the reality in order to improve the situation in which the marginalized groups were, all that is through the use of pedagogical elements which start from the reality of the literate.
