The evolution has allowed that several animals produce secretions for their survival: poisons, those that are harmful and lethal when they exert their effects on the body, altering the normal responses such as the coagulation and the inflammatory process. An updated literature review of poisons is presented which can be employed to explain how these substances can represent a future therapy; in the same way our country situation is described because it could be a source of research on this topic
