dc.description.abstract | BACKGROUND: Domestic violence and discrimination against persons belonging to LGBTI groups are evident in Ecuador, when 61.4% of these people at the national level have suffered episodes of violence, including forced sexual relations, physical aggression And verbal, sexual harassment, damage or appropriation of belongings, etc.
OBJECTIVE: To establish forms of intrafamily violence against LGBTI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual and intersex) people of the Association Silhouette X.
METHODOLOGY: The study was quantitative-descriptive, as a technique was used the survey and as an instrument the "Survey on the Living Conditions of the LGBTI population" of the INEC, which was modified according to the study. It was applied to 60 people of the Silhouette X Association during the first quarter of this year.
RESULTS: The following results were obtained: relatives of 41.67% of the respondents stopped talking about their sexual orientation, while 36.67% experienced shouting, insults, threats and mockery; 26.67% have been banned from attending activities proposed by LGBTI groups, the same percentage that has been forced and pressured to dress and to feel masculine or feminine according to their biological sex | |
