dc.description.abstractGeneral objective: Evaluate the Cervical Disability Index through the Northwick Park Pain Questionnaire with students of the Physiotherapy career at Cuenca University by virtual study 2021. Methodology: It is important to note a descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study was carried out on 114 students of the Physiotherapy course at the University of Cuenca. A form was applied to collect personal data, weight, height, cervical injury in the last 3 months, and the Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire and the Visual Analog Scale were filled out. The results were tabulated using the SPSS vs 25 statistical program. Results: A total of 114 students were evaluated, a 64.9% were female and 35.1% male. The most frequent range was between 20-24 years of age with 56.1%; it was also found that 79.8% had normal weight. According to the hours of virtual study, 39.55% had between 21-40 hours per week. In accordance with the Visual Analogical Scale of the 98 participants with cervical pain, 56.1% had mild pain, and also in accord with the Cervical Disability rate, 27.6% low level disability. The relationship between pain (VAS) and the Cervical Disability Index gives as a result p=0.005 which indicates statistical significance. Conclusion: By analyzing the relationship between Cervical Disability, gender, weekly virtual study hours and Body Mass Index, no relationship was found, but when analyzing cervical pain according to the Visual Analog Scale and the Cervical Disability Index, there was a significant relationship in the results.
