dc.description.abstractEvaluation of the productive parameters of 10 bovines of the Charolais breed divided into 5 males and 5 females, performed at the Pastaza Experimental Station of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo, Puyo municipality, Pastaza province, acquiring the parameters of the records kept daily in the exploitation, the results were modeled by descriptive statistics, comparison of means (according to Fisher) and regression analysis. Obtaining birth weights of 44,15 kg ± 3,42 kg for males; 44,53kg ± 3,26kg in females, weight gain each 8 days of 7,20kg ± 0,71 kg, for males; 6,82kg ± 1,08kg in females, achieving weights at weaning (210 days) of 273kg ± 18,70 Kg for males; 254 kg ± 36,01 Kg in females, determining a growth curve with a highly significant cubic tendency (<0,01), a coefficient of determination of 99%, a superiority versus the American and French Charolais breeds in the period between 46 - 74 days in males; 32 - 109 days in females, subsequently the weight gains in the evaluated calves are minimal, establishing weights at 210 days lower than the breeds mentioned above, concluding that the cost of production of the calves of this research were USD 172,57 ± USD 3,78 for males; USD 171,15 ± USD 4,73 in females, equivalent to 0,63 and 0,68 Ctvs/kg respectively. I recommend that by incorporating a food diet that covers the daily requirements of the animals and supplying mineral salts at will throughout the year, the animals will reach greater weights, their importance is that they are necessary for the transformation of food into components of the organism or in Animal products such as milk, meat, offspring, skin, wool.
