dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this study was to evaluate the work in the administrative area of the G.A.D. Municipal del Cantón Baños de Agua Santa, to improve occupational health and to provide better performance and efficiency in each of the activities of the administrative staff. Each job position was analyzed through the collection of administrative information by conducting surveys to workers. The Risk Matrix was obtained to determine the ergonomic risk factors by applying the RULA ergonomic evaluation method, which made it possible to determine whether there are problems of inappropriate postures and movements on the part of the workers. The results of the surveys determined that 50.5% of the sample had no knowledge of ergonomics, occupational diseases, and ergonomic risks, and the risks were identified with the GTC 45 Risk Matrix, where ergonomic risks were found to be: repetitive body movement, hand-finger micro-movements with 40. The RULA method was used to evaluate the workers in the administrative area and the result was that 44 people have a performance level of 2, requiring changes in the task, and 23 people have a performance level of 3, requiring task redesign. It is recommended to conduct training every year for all administrative staff on ergonomic risks, occupational diseases and for ergonomic risks to perform relaxation exercises with a duration of 5 minutes at the beginning and middle of the working day. | |
