Three methods of semen extraction in South American Camelids (CSA) were assessed, conducting seminal quality analysis and determining the economic value of each of the extraction methods; This research was carried out in the Goat and Camelid Sheep Research Academic Unit belonging to the Tunshi Experimental Station located in the Licto parish, Riobamba city, Chimborazo Province, with an experimental methodology, using the Chi-square test (x) 2 validating in this way the possible associations or dependencies in the study variables for which the data obtained using the artificial dummy vagina method were used, the size of the experimental unit was 2 CSA at the age of 3 to 5 years, with 5 repetitions and a total of 10 extractions, with a duration of 60 days. The analyzes of the seminal samples were carried out in the Laboratory of Reproduction and Artificial Insemination of the School of Animal Sciences at ESPOCH. In the macroscopic analysis of the seminal samples there were no significant differences in the pH and volume variables, with the white color crystalline with a viscous appearance in the seminal samples. Highly significant differences (P <0.01) were determined for the sperm concentration and mass motility variables and there were no significant differences for the individual motility, abnormalities and vitality variables. It is concluded that the best, extraction method is an artificial vagina with a dummy compared to the two remaining methods, electro ejaculator and directly from the vas deferens where no positive results were obtained, recommending to improve the method of seminal extraction of artificial vagina with a manikin where In addition, the internal temperature of the manikin can be maintained for a longer time, in addition to using the incentive of a receptive camelid female in order to improve the results obtained and make a study on voltage, amperage and oscillatory wave of conventional electro ejaculators to determine what the voltage would be adequate to improve this technique.
