dc.description.abstractAutomation engineering is an important area of study of the academic education of the maintenance engineer, since most of the industrial processes are currently carried out automatically using modern equipment and advanced technology, for this reason in the present degree work performed the implementation of an automatic control and monitoring system, using a controller and a user interface for the grinding and mixing of animal feed from the “AVÍCOLA LA MORENITA”. For the development of this degree work, it was researched about Profinet communication, topology and configuration for sending and receiving data from the field level to the management level, using an HML, with all the existing devices both control, protection and power, then it was proceeded to program each of the elements and devices with the help of the STEP 7 TIA PORTAL V13 software. Each equipment and element that makes up this animal food process plant has been selected, following parameters of quality, performance, efficiency and performance, where the start of the process is carried out manually-automatically. Once the assembly and programming implementation stage was completed, the data transfer operation tests and the start-up of the different actuators were carried out, obtaining a desired control. Operators who will be working in the animal food production plant should be trained about equipment manuals, safety measures and verify that the maintenance plan proposed in this work is executed to avoid any type of inconvenience.
