dc.description.abstractIn this research work, a rotary bending machine was developed for material fatigue tests, in addition to thermographic and vibrational analysis. The objective was to support the students of the career to carry out work in a practical way regarding fatigue and the respective analyzes. The study of materials was reduced to low-carbon and low-alloy steel elements, considering that they are the main materials used for the manufacture of rotating elements within the industry. Based on the regulations, the rotary bending machine with single point bending was chosen, since it has the direct load to apply to the material being analyzed. This standard served to determine the shape and dimensions of the test tubes that were used; In the same way, the hourglass test tube was selected, since, in the thinnest section, it facilitated the thermographic measurement due to the variation in thickness and temperature. In the same way, the materials to be used were selected based on a study using the Ashby diagram and its relationship curve between Young's Module and Density. This measurement process is based on time, load, and temperature; in this way the pertinent tabulation of each material was obtained. It was determined that the implementation of the machine allowed the application of several maintenance technologies; In addition, the temperature obtained a gradual increase over time. The use of different construction materials is recommended and, in this way, access a broader analysis of the appropriate materials for each job, furthermore to speed control with the application of a tachometer.
