The objective of this technical project was to elaborate a plan to optimize the production system of the company "Ambaflex Cía. Ltda.", through the control of its production processes to generate a standardization and leveling of its lines, besides proposing a plant distribution for its new location. This was done through the segmentation of the star products depending on the volume of production. Initially, a study was carried out applying the Heijunka method, which allowed to measure and controlthe different variables of the process to later establish the effective production rhythm, determining the adequate Tack time (production cadence to satisfy the demand of your clients) and Pitch (production and packaging time of a production unit). Because the company needed to move, an analysis was carried out through the link method and S.L.P. (systematic planning of plant distribution), with this we proposed a plant distribution that allowed to have a balanced production flow. The problems found in the high and low density extruders, and three- shaft co-extruder, as wellas in the Comexi TAGA-1500 and YT-61000 printers, were solved by elaborating a plan for the standardization of the plastic casing manufacturing processes, applying criteria from the study of methods and times, achieving a reduction of 2415.14 minutes in the total production, also the production delays were mitigated through the application of the leveling of the workload under the standards of the Heijunka method. The study revealed the need to better distribute the machinery in the new production plant, for which a plant distribution model was proposed under the aforementioned methods, achieving a risk reduction of 55%. For there to be significant changes in production, continuous improvement and future application of the proposed plan is needed.
