dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research work was the elaboration and characterization of a bioplastic from cassava shells (Manihot esculenta) for food wrapping; for which the starch was extracted and characterized from the shells of the yellow cassava to determine different formulations between the starch obtained and the additives to obtain the bioplastic, later to be able to evaluate the physical-mechanical properties and verify the effectiveness of bioplastic obtained for the wrapping of food. This research is quantitative, because the amount obtained from the starch yield, starch and bioplastic characterization was determined, biodegradation where specific data was obtained that allowed to obtain a good result for the casing of food, in addition this research was experimental since there are variables that can be manipulated such as the dependent in phase 1 of the extraction percentage of starch and the independent revolution per minute and time of crushed and in phase 2 the dependent: bioplastic formulation and the independent: amount of plasticizer and amount of starch that were manipulated to have an acceptable envelope, according to the type of inference is this titration work is hypothetical - deductive, because through the hypotheses raised in the research it was verified if the hypothesis is accepted or rejected. It is concluded that the bioplastic obtained from the shell of yellow cassava was very effective in the wrapping of food keeping fresh and it is recommended to socialize the information obtained about the easy elaboration of bioplastic from the shell of cassava and what is its advantage for the environment. | |
