dc.description.abstractThis research was aimed to create and propose a communication system manual to the canton of Colta Province of Chimborazo, the same that allows the promotion and diffusion of the touristic attractions managed by “Colta Lindo y Milenario touring Company”, COLMITUR –EP. Information was collected through surveys applied to 387 people in order to determine the objective public, the touristic attractions and the means of diffusion, getting positive and negative aspects from the Brand. For this reason, a redesign was done for improving some aspects and the elaboration of a manual to use the Brand correctly. The first step was the analysis of the communicational elements of the Brand (Global image auditing), the ones that hold a visual disorder at the chromatic and typographic part which misinform the objective public. To the promotion and diffusion, graphic pieces were proposed such as: posters, signage, totems, credentials, business cards, folders, sheets, notebooks, agendas, social networks, where the touristic surroundings are described. The next step is a communication plan for choosing correctly the best strategies to get the tourism axis obtain the objectives for promoting and diffusing the attractions, reduce the times, increase the efficacy, assure the consistency, raise the reliability and protect the investment. To make the COLMITUR_EP Brand successful in the country. As a conclusion, the manual based on graphic design , generates information easy to understand, plus, it is aimed to the objective public mentioned in advance and the process is fast guaranteeing the promotion and diffusion success of the touristic attraction from Colta. The suggestion is using only the proposed Brand in order to position it.
