dc.description.abstractThis degree work established as a literature review and case analysis in relation to acquired aplastic anemia. Current information with respect to epidemiology, etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of so-called entity is synthesized, allowing and correlating the aforementioned content with the clinical case analyzed. A 23-year-old female case is studied since the patient shows a clinical pattern of persistent gingivorrhagia and an asthenia of 15 days of evolution, in whom additionally, was found a marked pancytopenia, that is why, it is started a study about multiple pathologies which cause a marrow failure. Acute leukemia, myeloproliferative syndromes, paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria and acquired aplastic anemia are proposed, thus multiple complementary studies are carried out to define the diagnosis. Infectious causes are evaluated once acquired aplastic anemia is diagnosed, eventually reaching an idiopathic origin. In relation to the treatment, the therapeutic management and the patient evolution are described until finally she dies after two months since the beginning of the study about her condition.
