The objective of this research was to evaluate the quality indexes in eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus) seedlings under greenhouse conditions at Santa Catalina INIAP Experimental Station. A randomized complete block experimental design (RCBD) was used. Plant evaluation was carried out with morphological variables: height (h), diameter at collar height (DAC), hardiness index (IR), aerial biomass/root biomass ratio (RAR), Dickson's quality index (DQI), chlorophyll, color and visual description of symptoms. The factors under study were six treatments with induced absence in the solution of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg), as well as two control treatments, one with complete fertilization (FC) and the other with water only(TA). Fertilization using the missing element technique in the greenhouse influenced plant quality. According to the obtained results, in the Dickson quality index, the best quality plants were those of treatment T1 (complete fertilization) with a mean of 0.70; while in the aerial biomass/root biomass ratio, treatment T1 (complete fertilization) had a mean of 4.86 g, being the best, and in the robustness index there was no significance between treatments and replications. In the chlorophyll and color variables, the best treatment was T1 with values of 38.39 SPAD units and 36.82, respectively. It is important to induce nutrients in seedlings of forest species, to guarantee the obtaining of vigorous and strong seedlings necessary for the establishment of commercial plantations.
