Plan de salvaguardia del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la parroquia rural Santa Rosa, cantón Ambato, provincia de Tungurahua.

Abstract

The current research is aimed to carry out the design of the Safeguarding Plan for the Intangible Cultural Heritage in Santa Rosa rural parish, Ambato canton, Tungurahua province in order to safeguard the living cultural memory of Santorreños and enhance it as a contribution to cultural tourism development. The required information has been collected from secondary and primary sources by applying the analytical, descriptive and field methods, as well as the field research through registration sheet according to the National Consumer Price Index (NCPI) methodology. As a result, a total of 23 cultural manifestations registered in this Ambateña population, 26% (6) corresponds to the Traditions and oral expressions field, 4% (1) to the Performing Arts field, 26% (6) to the Social uses, rituals and festive acts field, and finally 44% (10) belong to the Knowledge and uses field related to nature and the universe. The status of the different cultural expressions was obtained by means of the validation of the register of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH), 39% (9) belong to current manifestations, 35% (8) to current vulnerable manifestations and finally 26% (6) are identified as current manifestations in the collective memory. After analyzing the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) matrix, critical nodes and success key factors are prioritized, as well as the plan strategies are structured, and in this way 4 programs and 6 projects were identified which reinforce the safeguard axes proposed in this research work. With regard to the strategic-philosophical approach, it responds to the safeguarding of the intangible cultural heritage in order to mitigate the current social vulnerability. It is concluded that Santa Rosa rural parish has a great traditional value. It is represented mainly in knowledge and uses related to nature and the universe with the aim to keep the local memory alive, as well as to revitalize and diffuse cultural manifestations, contributing to local development.
