Gestión preventiva de riesgos ergonómicos en la línea de faenado bovino del GADM-Camal del cantón Riobamba aplicando la metodología RULA

Abstract

The present nominated degree work "PREVENTIVE MANAGEMENT OF ERGONOMIC RISKS IN THE BOVINE SLAUGHTER LINE OF THE GADM-CAMAL OF THE RIOBAMBA CANTON APPLYING THE RULA METHODOLOGY", located in the province of Chimborazo, aimed to carry out a preventive management of ergonomic risks to avoid various musculoskeletal disorders existing in the jobs of the bovine slaughtering line, for which a previous diagnosis was made in health and quality of the workers, along with that an evaluation of the possible risks around the ergonomic area was carried out through the use of the RULA methodology and the support of the Nordic questionnaire of Kuorinka. It was obtained as a result that of 21 activities, 5% of the jobs indicate a level of action 4, this being a category of high risk, 53% with a level of action 3, being a level of considerable risk, with 42% is the level of action 2 being a moderate risk and finally with 0% those of risk 1 or mild, taking into account that the incidence about ergonomic altercations caused by their work in the slaughter plant is very considerable, it was proposed through the data collected and analyzed previously with each of the workers, preventive and corrective measures that will help mitigate ergonomic risks, these being: physical therapies, redesign of workstations, implementation of new equipment or more exhaustive supervision in the work of personnel. It is recommended to carry out an extension of the research towards the other lines of slaughter, which will allow to know in a better way the ergonomic situation in the entire plant of the Camal.
