This degree work aimed to the implementation of an incubation system with a purpose to automating the traditional incubation method towards another, controlled by an artificial vision system and automated, from the beginning of egg incubation until its hatching were suppressing human-machine intervention. The prototype was based on three stages. The first stage: establish, acquire and implement the necessary elements, using the Arduino microcontroller to perform the task of acquisition, processing, and evaluation of the data provided by the actuators and sensors of the incubator. Also, a monitoring system was carried out using artificial vision with a 60FPS webcam with a resolution of 1200x800 pixels and using Python development software based on Linux. Also an open source was achieved by 80% independent human intervention to automate the processes of periodic movement of the egg through servomotors which have the job of positioning the egg at 45 ° for 8 times each day, temperature and humidity control in the incubation chamber through a ventilation system controlled by the DHT11 sensor and finally the monitoring of the egg with Python. Achieving a result of a total of 0 eggs broken during the incubation and the ten eggs, seven managed to hatch successfully while of the remaining three only one did not form the embryo properly because the egg had already passed in time to be incubated. Finally, a successful hatching percentage of approximately 70% can be established depending on the state in which the eggs are found at the time of starting the incubation.
