dc.description.abstract | The main objective of the present research work was to do an assessment about comminution circuit in the company "OROCONCENT S.A." First, it carried out an analysis of the current process of comminution in the processing plant. After that, a review of the operational parameters of the crushers, vibrating screens and mills, and the evaluation of the distribution of their particles in the meshes in crushing and grinding were made. It elaborated a flowsheet of the system with the help of the illustration program called Adobe Illustrator CS6 in order to understand the process of the comminution circuit, besides data tables for circuit boards and their engines. Later, it made the granulometry analysis to compare data at OROCONCENT Company, and the ESPOCH Mining Laboratory, Morona Santiago. In the first stage of ore reduction: the reduction results were 90% meanwhile, with the pulp density analysis at the point of its overflow when the ore is deposited in the cyanidation tank, obtaining 77% in its smaller granulometry than a 200 mesh. On the other hand, the granulometry distribution analysis carried out in the ESPOCH mining laboratory showed that: the ore at its point of discharge to the cyanidation tank was 57.66% with a particle size of 120 meshes. It concludes that the ore size from reduction circuit delivered by the OROCONCENT Company does not correspond to the ideal particle size according to the required feed percentage F80 (for the fine ore hopper). It is recommends to implement 120 mesh separators to divide coarse particles. | |
