dc.description.abstractIn the present research work, the design and simulation of a semiautomatic machine to dose liquid wax into 1 liter, 1 gallon and 5 gallon containers for the Parquet Los Pinos company, was carried out. The methodology was designed based on the application of standards such as ASME B106. 1M (shaft design), NEC SE CG (non-seismic loads), ASME section VIII division 1 (pressurized tank). Using the quality house, the characteristics of the machine were defined by correlating the conditions given by the company and the voice of the engineer, therefore, a pressurization dosing system was carried out using a PKM 60 pump with a flow rate of 0.68 L / s and 4.71 mwc, in addition the pumping system is connected to a pressurized tank that works at 411kPa. The amount of flow will be divided for the 4 solenoid valves that operate at 30kPa controlled with a PLC LOGO, the same one that is in charge of switching the conveyor belt on and off, which operates with a SK 1SI 50 - IEC7 gearmotor of nominal power 0, 37kw and speed of 42rpm. For the design of the structure, a slotted aluminum profile 40-4040 6105-T5 was considered because it reduces the weight of the machine, in addition the union is by means of bolts with this avoids the expense in welding processes, consequently the results of design in SAP2000. In conclusion, it was simulated in PC SIMU to verify the ladder code and in SolidWorks to observe its operation in 3D, also the price of the machine is $ 5107.35 and it will begin to have profitability for income once it has exceeded $ 5891.34 in sales. It is recommended to read the manual to avoid failures in its installation and handling, if production increases, it is suggested to attach the bottle capping system.
