In this thesis project of type case analysis I present the study of Leishmaniasis, with the presentation of a clinical case of the Archidona Health Center, with a patient of 12 years residing in the city of Tena, who attended the consultation by to provide a skin ulcer with the apparent cause of an insect bite. When a suspected endemic disease is suspected, a scraping of the ulcer is performed, which is positive for Leishmaniasis. The diagnosis was confirmed with the results of the positive laboratory tests plus the clinical and antecedent of the bite, for which follow-up and control of this is adequate to treat this pathology, complying with the General Measures and the prescription of Antimony of meglumine 20mg / Kg / day IM for 21 days, recommending you to assist the attending physician before any sign alert. In this clinical case we observed the typical clinical presentation of Leishmanisis associated with the risk factor of the place of residence (tropical zone) and with the final confirmation of the complementary examination, for this pathology it is very important an opportune diagnosis and compliance with treatment assigned to avoid complications since particularly this disease is often underdiagnosed.
