dc.description.abstractThe objective of the research apply digital marketing strategies for the promotion of the tourist attractions of the Canton Penipe Chimborazo Province on the basis of current trends in virtual markets. The design of the research of non-experimental, a diagnosis on the basis of the methods: Analytic deductive, inductive synthetic collection of information through interviews and surveys, thus establishing the absence of digital strategies applied to the promotion of tourism. It was identified that a 63% of the population is unaware of the tourist offer of the Canton Penipe, however the 98% would like tourist activities in the canton. Is that the Internet is the digital medium for the dissemination of tourism in a 75% of views. In the statistical significance of the Wilcoxon test is significant for the metrics from the implementation of the strategies of digital marketing, responding in an effective way to stimuli generated within the virtual reality, thus showing the importance of the management of digital marketing in the tourist promotion of the Canton Penipe.
