The present investigation evaluated the productive behaviour of pio pio chickens fed with protein of animal origin in substitution of soy protein, the chemical composition of experimental diets with 10, 20, 30% substitution of soy protein by protein of Protein animal origin, in addition, the cost of production of each treatment was analysed: with an experimental methodology in the Poultry Research Academic Unit of the Faculty of Animal Sciences, of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo under a completely random design for which were used three treatments and a control treatment with four repetitions each, conforming each experimental unit for 25 Pio pio chickens giving a total of 400 chickens under study for 70 days. Significant differences of less than (0.05) in food conversion were recorded, with T1 being the best (10%) with 3.10. and highly significant minor differences (0.01) in European Efficiency being the best T1 with 115.14%; the highest protein consumption was in T3 with 27.19 g / day, energy consumption 0.36 Mcal / day, the treatment with the best cost benefit was T2 with 20% substitution of soy protein with protein of animal origin Protein with $ 1.15 It is concluded that the 10% substitution of soy protein by Protein implies better productive yields in terms of weight at the end, weight gain, feed conversion and yield to the carcass, so it is recommended to work around values less than 10% in the same animal species, in addition to considering the productive stages of the Pio Pio chicken.
