The objective of the research was to evaluate the effect of horse chorionic gonadotropin (eCG), in a J-SYNCH protocol in dairy cows inseminated at 60h and 72h in El Rosario farm, Tambillo canton, in the execution of the research a quantitative correlational design was used, proposing to evaluate and statistically analyze the performance of the J-synch protocol, in such a way that allows comparison with previous studies, the objects immersed in this research were the Universe of postpartum cows available between July and August 2020, and the sample for the development of the research was 50 Holstein cows, primiparous and multiparous, being the independent variable Conception rate and the dependent variables verification of presence or absence of estrus, follicular dynamics, post-withdrawal of intravaginal progesterone device and fixed time insemination (FTAI) programs, time of ovulation measured in hours, size of the corpus luteum post-ovulation and benefit cost of the protocol. The results indicate that fixed-time estrus synchronization protocols allow for better efficiency in heat detection within a cattle herd and reduction of infectious reproductive diseases. The results indicate that the use of eCG hormone in a J-SYNCH protocol in dairy cows inseminated at 60h, showed superior results in the variables of estrus presentation with 92%; diagnosis of gestation with 80%, follicular development after removal of the intravaginal device was 9.25mm and body condition is maintained at 2.6 points. On the other hand, it was observed that the cows submitted to study at 72 hours presented a greater follicle size of 13.04 mm. Higher profitability was established in the group of cows treated at 60 hours with a cost-benefit of $1.66, that is, for each dollar invested, a profit of 0.66 cents was obtained, which represents 66% of the investment.
