| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research work is to design an Strategic Plan for the Software Engineering career, of the Faculty of Computer Science and Electronics, of the Escuela Superior Politécnica de Chimborazo, 2018-2022 period. Through this tool, strategies will be generated that will allow an efficient administrative management for the career. For the design of the strategic plan, information related to the career was collected, research instruments and techniques were applied, such as an interview with the director, who provided information that facilitated the execution of SWOT analysis, matrix of internal and external factors evaluation and identification. Of the main actors of the academic unit, the surveys were applied to teachers, students, workers, and administrative personnel. The results of the research allowed us to identify the lack of strategic planning in the Software Engineering career, which affects the optimization of resources, efficient administration, promotion of research and links with society and academia. Once the results were analyzed, the strategic plan was designed, the same that contains the diagnosis, situational analysis, identification of the guiding elements, objectives, measurable strategies, activities, goals, budget for a certain period and in such a way to provide an administration efficient and adequate allocation of resources, in addition to meet one of the parameters of accreditation of the race. It is recommended to those involved to socialize the strategic plan to generate commitment and fulfillment of the established goals in it, which will allow the timely decision making of the main actors. | |
