dc.description.abstractThe research was carried out at the Don Edison located in the Madre Tierra Parish, Pastaza province, with the objective of establishing the best period of application in the sexual reversal of black tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus), in the post larva phase (3 days of having resorbed the yolk sac) on different days of onset 2; 4; 6; 8. The investigation was carried out with four treatments and four repetitions; conforming each experimental unit for 50 fry giving a complete of 800 black tilapia fry under study. The variation of the sexual reversal was measured at the end of the investigation with the help of methylene blue, determining the total of male fry, the initial and final weight measurements were also made, determining the weight gain, as well as the size of the fish, which were subjected to an analysis of variance (ADEVA) and separation of means according to the Tukey methodology at a level of significance (P <0.05), it was reported that the treatment (T2), performed on the 4th day if the yolk sac has been reabsorbed, it has presented the best fish length (3.69 cm), weight gain (1.00 g) and percentage of sexual reversion (99.0%), the latter exceeding the other treatments, thus presenting numerical difference And they didn't think. It was concluded that the day of onset of sexual reversal does influence% of the reversal. I recommend taking into account planting density, because it significantly influences the reversion of fry, weight gain and size.
