Inventario forestal del bosque nativo del recinto El Derrumbo, parroquia Chillanes, provincia de Bolívar.

Abstract

The montane cloud forest of Bolívar province is assigned to from 1800 to 3000 masl, this investigation proposes to develop a forestry inventory in the native forest of the El Derrumbo compound at Chillanes parish in Bolívar province; it is attributed three specific objectives such as identify the existing tree species in the native forest, to determine the horizontal and vertical structuring of the forest under study, to estimate the Importance Value Index and the forest value index of the species. Gentry methodology was used to develop the transects. Samples of forest species were collected from 5cm of diameter at chest height, it was identified taxonomically by family, genus, and species, the samples were herborized and lie in the ESPOCH herbarium (CHEP) where 58 individuals were identified, which belong to 18 families, 23 genus and 27 species. According to the Importance Value Index (IVI), the most dominant species is Ficus dulciaria Dugany with 43,41% (IVI), in addition, 0,95 Simpson’s Diversity Index and 3,16 of Shannon were obtained, these values are interpreted as having a diverse forest community, reviewing with another author, the proportion of the species coincide, on the same altitudinal floor. It is concluded that the structure of the native forest is characterized by the abundance of individuals of young shafts and very few mature tress calling it a juvenile forest when it deals with a distribution “J” upside down.
