dc.description.abstractThe present work of degree consists in the modeling and automation of a hybrid system for the milk pasteurization process. It was analyzed the modeling of a low temperature solar system for the generation of sanitary hot water (S.H.W), in order to do that, they were used the solar radiation data of the city of Riobamba and the meteorological center of the Polytechnic School of Chimborazo. The main axis of the automatic system was made up of solar collectors of vacuum tubes that work as a generator of S.H.W., its model was deduced based on the way in which it transforms solar energy into thermal energy; By using the Matlab software and taking into account the characteristics of the fluid circulating inside the tube, it was assumed that all the variables in the system are constant except for the fluid velocity, since having a developed laminar fluid allowed to make the use of the Reynolds number, the momentum equation and the thermal energy equilibrium to arrive at the mathematical model. The automation based on the temperature control in the milk was carried out with the Labview software which showed in a graphic mode the functioning of the automatic system in reality. A heating system was used as a support system so that the hybrid pasteurization process works 100% in case of that the environmental conditions are not favorable and it is not possible to cover the energy needs. The research allows us to conclude that it is possible to generate more production at a lower manufacturing cost while preserving the environment. It is recommended to look for a storage of energy to avoid the waste of it on sunny days.
