dc.description.abstractImproved maintenance of the module of the automated production line of the Industrial Automation Laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanics was developed using GSM and LabVIEW technologies, during the improvement maintenance the deductive method was used for the selection of new technologies, equipment, components and accessories both mechanical and pneumatic. After an analysis it was deduced the use of the AS-interface network, which is an efficient system because it is an industrial communication bus, which allows control of the process and helps to eliminate the complexity of the control panel, also a GSM module. which will allow to have a better control of the process and to offer a protection against any event of failure, was implemented the LabVIEW software that allows the control and monitoring of the same. Programming was carried out using the TIA Portal V15 software, the PLC receives signals from the sensors and sends signals to the pneumatic actuators to activate the operation of the production line. The stations that make up the process are: belt station, conveyor belt, body assembly station, pin assembly station, sorting station, rotary table, lifting station and storage station. Through the tests carried out for the operation, it was concluded that the improved maintenance performed meets the planned expectations, with optimum assembly and storage performance and response time to any failure event and real time monitoring of the process.
