Currently, the deployment and growth of movible and fixed internet services generate new patterns of IP traffic and demands for technologies such as 4G-LTE in the networks of telecommunications service providers. In order to satisfy data rates and low latency for new implementations, it is necessary to optimize and evolve the architecture of traditional networks to facilitate their growth and guarantee the integration of future convergent services. Seamless MPLS architecture that is based on standard protocols, allows to logically segment and hierarchize the network to scale in the number of nodes with robustness, simplicity and better performance. The purpose of this review was to assess the traditional MPLS and Seamless MPLS architectures, for which 2 test scenarios were implemented using the Ove-NG software. Functionalities were evaluated, data were colecté and processed and the Wilcoxon test was used to statistically verify that there is a significant difference between the data obtained in each of the scenarios and to determine the best architecture. The results obtained show that the Seamless MPLS architecture presents a better performance considering that the latency values are better up to 8%, the Jitter values have an improvement of up to 40%, and a significantly lower number of routes in the equipment of the Access and aggregation segment, which is optimal for the network. Additionally, a proposal for the design of a network with MPLS architecture for a telecomunications service provider with coverage in region 3 of Ecuador is presented. The proposal is based on the recomendaciones of the draft- ietf- mpls-seamless- mpls-07 "Seamless MPLS Architecture”.
