Abstract

Workers in dental offices exposing to risks: biological, physical, chemical, ergonomic, mechanical and psychosocial; that threaten the safety and occupational health of this work team. Therefore, it is essential to use tools that allow mitigate those risks. The present work originates with the purpose of applying an Occupational Health and Safety management system based on Resolution 957 of the Andean Instrument, in Dentist group Specialty Dentistry Offices S.A. located in the Metropolitan District of Quito, focused on the prevention of accidents, incidents and occupational diseases of the workers of this dental health center. This research allows us to obtain a clear diagnosis of latent occupational risks in Dentist group S.A., through observation, interviews and surveys. With the results, obtaining it is important to develop a preventive program that has the purpose of protecting and safeguarding the health and safety of the workers of these dental offices. In addition, it is essential to train and educate the work team of Dentist group S.A. about the importance of taking care of your health and working in an optimal working environment. The management focused on the prevention of accidents, incidents and occupational diseases provides multiple benefits as it allows a team of healthy, motivated and in optimal conditions. The permanent monitoring and control will be part of the continuous improvement.
