dc.description.abstractPhotovoltaic generation systems take a strong inclusion in distribution networks, their clean energy and adaptability, attract a lot of interest, despite the fact that the electronic components of these systems are sources of poor quality voltage. The document presents the stages prior to the inverter, these correspond to: behavior of photovoltaic generation, operation of photovoltaic panels in (MPP) by means of the (P&O) algorithm, supplying a suitable voltage and current ripple to the inverter by the converter, once establishes the previous stages , the smart inverter is able to deliver active power, and through the control strategy applies in the smart inverter, it allows (deliver / absorb) reactive power and maintain a quality supply voltage. There is a deficient behavior when not applying the control against the different loads (Inductive / Capacitive), and a noticeable difference when applying the control (Volt-Var), in which the voltage quality problem takes solution. In addition, the frequency of the system shows oscillations very close to the ideal reference with a deviation peak to the load change and the harmonic distortion of the system is ideal.
