Proyecto de conversión de programa privativo a uno de software libre. Un caso práctico, Etapa No. 2

Abstract

This paper focuses on three parts. The first, on the investigation of the impact that is expected after the conversion of proprietary software to free software, using the SMS research method to discern the information to only the necessary to answer the questions posed. The second, in the continuation of a practical case of the conversion of a proprietary program to one of free software, which is the "PRO-HIERRO PROFESIONAL" that in its first stage its version was released in English, however, it does not appear with all functions. So, at this stage, the release is made in its Spanish version including the modules that were omitted, which are: cut sheet, drawing of elements, and groups bar. This version will be hosted in a new repository, GitHub. Finally, surveys are carried out on end users who know the "PRO-HIERRO PROFESIONAL" to make a qualitative analysis of the benefits and drawbacks of having this free software.
