This paper presents the comparative analysis between a microstrip antenna and a resonant microstrip antenna in the millimeter wideband (mmW). The impact of the geometric shape, size, and material was analyzed through different tests on ANSYS HFSS software. The chosen geometric shapes were: Square, cilinder, conic, and triangle in order to determine the impact of the resonator in the microstrip antenna. At the same time the simulated materials were: Ceramic (Be_o), copper, gold, silicon, and epoxy (FR4). Regarding size, the dimensions of a square resonator were changed, and in this way carry out their respective analysis.
