dc.description.abstractTransmission systems are of great importance within the electrical power system, since they are responsible for transmitting the energy produced from those generated to the consumption centers, which is why these systems must have high reliability rates. However, in the event of contingencies and failures in electric transmission systems, the same reliable, adequate network switching and reliable supply on demand must be restored. Therefore, the purpose of this research work is to determine the optimal switching of transmission lines in power systems, which allows us to obtain a topology that maximizes reliability after the presence of contingencies in the electrical power system, will depend on This way will determine the appropriate sequence to reconfigure the electrical system, reducing the probability of loss of load and minimizing the shortage of demand, guaranteeing that the electrical variables remain within acceptable levels.
