dc.description.abstractThis study allows to analyze the main components and electronic systems of the Otto engine, by means of the scientific research method. With the help of an oscilloscope, a computer software and an external circuit the correct and incorrect graphs of the motor sensors are obtained, these graphs are analyzed under the conditions of the analytical and deductive method to determine the possible origin of their anomaly. A classification of the different fault codes related to each sensor is made according to the generic OBDII protocol. Finally, a test protocol for the different automotive sensors is established, which will provide the automotive technician with a correct diagnosis in the shortest time possible.
