The technical project of qualification "Design and implementation of an ultraviolet radiation meter powered by solar panels", carried out during the period 2017-2019 is directed to the Salesian community as a visual and interactive information medium through a web medium, which is installed in block D of the Salesian Polytechnic University. The main project is focused so that the Salesian community becomes aware of the damage caused by being exposed to long periods of sunlight. Thus the Salesian community can take protective measures on the skin and eyes against Ultra Violet rays. The prototype consists of an embedded system card in the language of Texas Instruments model TM4c1294 which processes the signal of solar UV radiation captured by the pyranometer, depending on the captured signal lights a light bar as a thermometer showing the color referring to the range Captured from solar UV radiation. The colors are standard established by the World Health Organization by its initials WHO which refer to the level of prevention that must be taken. The project is self-sustaining since it will have as source of energy to the Sun, it consists of a solar panel that during its presence energizes the titration project. A battery was installed as backup power so that the equipment during the absence or little solar receptivity energizes the equipment and continues to operate normally and informed.
