dc.description.abstractThe present research focused on identifying the prevalence of external parasites in bees, using the jar technique, analyzing a total of 75 samples from different apiaries in the parishes of Cuenca canton, which determined a prevalence rate for Varroa detructor of 9.31% (7/75) and a prevalence rate for Aethina tumida and Braula coeca of 0% (0/75).
