| dc.description.abstract | “11 DE MARZO” National Female High School, is an Educational Institution that
gives its services to the female teenagers from 12 to 20 years old. The High
School teaches socials, accounting and management; it uses pedagogic
processes and update processes, by means of theoretical and practical knowledge
and permanent evaluations. The educational community offer quality of life of their
relatives and of the society.
This Institution suggests to create a software application to teach to the students
for computer.
It use a traditional form to teach to the students, that means when the teacher take
a test, he says the questions and all the students write down that questions in a
piece of paper, then the teacher gives to them time in order to they can answer the
questions. Later, the teacher has a very difficult job, because they must to give a
grade for every single question of every single test and give back to his students.
The biggest problem here is the time, that job is during so much.
We had to do a feasibility research, because we need to know if our thesis was
necessary for the high school. Our research has three levels:
Operative feasibility
Technical feasibility
Economic feasibility
Later, we did a document called SRS, which means Software Requirements
Specifications. This document is a guide about the software functionality, but is not
like a manual, this is for people that have another level of knowledge.
The designs of the methodology OOHDM that have developed are: conceptual
design, navigational design, design of the abstract interface and design of the
database that give us a perspective of what is going to realize the software and
like it will be constituted. Later we proceed to the development of the software.
The SIEE software (this is name or our software) is a tool that works whit three
profiles: Administrator Profile, Teacher Profile and Student Profile. In the
Administrator Profile we can manage all the information about students, teachers,
subjects, level and important dates. In the Teacher Profile we can manage all the
information about the tests, activity’s chronogram, tutorial; we can see statistics
about grades of the students and print them. Finally, in the Student Profile we can
make the test, we can see our grades, print them; we can see the activity’s
chronogram and see test’s day.
In the first page of SIEE we can see general information about the high school. We
can search all the tutorials and information about the subject.
When we were doing this application we had to use some important tools like:
Macromedia Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, XAMPP for programming implementation, MySQL for the database, the Apache Web Server, PHP and
PERL for interpret for script languages, OpenSSL and phpMyAdmin too.
The tests that have been done are the black box and system. In the system tests
there are the tests of recovery, of safety, of resistance and of performance that
help us to correct the presented problems and that have allowed us to check the
correct functioning of the system. | |
