dc.description.abstractThe present work has as investigate objective which is the best option for the implementation of a storage system and consultation data for a PYME company comparing a local Data Center and Cloud Computing, taking into account various factors that intervene in the implementation of each technology as for example the initial investment in equipment, infrastructure and maintenance for a PYME company. The Local Data Center is an important architecture for companies, which in this project is detailed architecture and their main characteristics, standards, equipment, prices and the national suppliers. We also analyze the cloud computing technology and its basic characteristics, services offered costs and suppliers in the Ecuadorian market. For the implementation of storage system in a PYME should take into account several aspects such as response time, flexibility and scalability of resources for the management of information technology according to the needs, as server administration, applications, data storage and implementation time of each technology. Our investigation seeks to achieve technical criteria for an efficient storage system data verifying the benefits and costs for PYMES, that may lead to be more competitive in the market, also have access to advanced technologies that allowed agile responses to users, offering an excellent service and enable them to improve their productivity. Also is made a comparative analysis between the Data Center and Cloud Computing for Data storage, which details both technically and economically for each technology. It can be concluded that the best option for PYMES is Cloud Computing, because the initial investment is low with a high level of service to users.
