Abstract

This communicative product "The role of women in artisanal fishing: beyond the adventure at sea", focuses on the fishing activities carried out in the seaports of the province of Santa Elena. The documentary brings together several testimonies that were collected through videos, where the protagonists are the fishing men and women, in order to know everything that goes beyond fishing, that is, what the work is like, the profits, the distribution of shellfish, and above all how women are considered within this field of work, considering that it is one of the oldest and hardest jobs to date because it has been interrupted by industrial fishing, in addition to the fact that it has become an undervalued job. For this we use field and bibliographical research techniques on which they will be based on the documentary.
