Resumen
With the start of the pandemic in 2019, the authorities and specialists faced not only an unknown virus that was rapidly spreading throughout the world. With this, not only the virus spread, but also false news. The WHO identified the infodemic, a term used to describe the avalanche of information circulating about the virus, making it difficult for people to find verified information, which, thanks to social networks, was available to everyone. In our project we have compiled those myths that revolve around Covid-19 among Guayaquil society as a problem of information deficit, contrasting it with interviews with specialists who can improve messages about the virus, having a qualitative approach, based on the criterion of the doctors. Questions based on each of the myths found were asked, subsequently, several medical specialists, infectologists, immunologists, microbiologists, etc. were interviewed. As part of the data collection process. The myths that circulate in social networks have been denied by specialists, highlighting the ease of publishing any information on the internet, and the simplicity with which these myths can become realities for people, all this in the midst of ignorance about the Coronavirus.
