dc.description.abstractFake new is not actually a real new, however they usually appear as one, that’s why some of its main features are deception, manipulation and disinformation in order to influence the society’s opinion. Also, with the appearance of new digital portals this situation has been even worse due to the easy way of information becoming viral within few days on the internet. Analyzing its typology, we can identify and characterize any fake new. This investigation shows the post-truth in fake news and its influence on the society’s opinion of the Facebook page “El Mercioco” therefore 57 publications between February and April of 2020 were analyzed. The methodology applied was quali-qualitative and the techniques used were observation and the content analysis. This analysis proofs that this Facebook page tricks audiovisual content to create stories whose humor and exaggeration is dedicated to attack people showing fake information, this phenomenon is enjoyed for some people who shares this information contributing to the proliferation of fake news.
