dc.description.abstractThis paper aims to analyze the strengths that have the cities of Medellin (Colombia) and Cuenca (Ecuador), from the perspective of business tourism. The possibilities of a commercial rapprochement between these two cities which have submitted significant growth not only in terms of numbers of visitors, but also in trade agreements are analyzed. Moreover, highlighting the most relevant aspects of the two cities that may be considered for future business strategies by firms in both countries as these two cities are presented as an opportunity to invest more when their governments locals have clearly identified strategies and development for a few years have shown interesting results in the increase in tourists.
