This communicative product presents the life stories of 25 men with problematic alcohol and drug use who are in a voluntary rehabilitation process at the Specialized Treatment Center for People with Problem Use of Alcohol and other Drugs, CETAD. In search of a versatile but effective methodology, we took the participatory action methodology, where, thanks to educommunication, we gave five workshops with the purpose of bringing the group closer to communication, its processes, and its tools., to the production of an audiovisual and above all to touch it as they have never done before. The workshops focused on fine-tuning their communication skills, the basic handling of tools, the use of equipment, and structuring their ideas for the construction of interviews and the technical and literary scripts. Thanks to the active participation of the community, we obtained a participatory social documentary where the insertion process, the development of the workshops, the learning not only about production, but also a social learning that shows us the reality oppressed of a consumer seen from another perspective, a more humanitarian one. Now communication is a tool of social transformation for them and for them, an audiovisual that is being made from their own free expression and criteria, where their life stories and their daily lives are shown without any restriction, transforming the oppressive perspective of the media and society.
